Eastern Plaza is a 6,700-square metre outdoor space near Gate K of Kai Tak Stadium.
French artist David Mesguich's sculpture The Transmission is on view at Eastern Plaza. The artwork features two children in the ancient Chinese game of cuju – one of them, holding a cuju ball in one hand, is helping her fallen playmate to stand up. The Transmission represents friendship and compassion in sports and reminds us of a timeless truth: the present and the future emerge from the legacy of the past.
