FutureScope
FutureScope, Hong Kong's first-ever large-scale art dome, debuts in Hong Kong this December, bringing a series of immersive multi-sensory experiences to the public. From 19 December 2025 to April 2026, the waterfront venue Dream by the Sea at Kai Tak Sports Park will host a journey through Eastern philosophy and media art.
Entering Hong Kong's First 360° Immersive Art Dome
Following the success of art domes around the world, FutureScope brings Hong Kong its first-ever large-scale art dome. Set outside, overlooking Hong Kong’s famous Victoria Harbour, the 12-meter diameter hemispheric theatre allows visitors a unique experience where they are surrounded by experiential art, with 360 degrees of sight and sound. This groundbreaking experience invites visitors to explore evolving media art within an engaging and accessible environment. At FutureScope, visitors can expect an unforgettable ArtTech experience.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaborations with World-Class Artists
FutureScope brings together cultural pioneers in media art, uniting Hong Kong media artist Chris Cheung (h0nh1m) and his acclaimed art collectives XCEPT and XCEED, collaborating with internationally acclaimed artists across disciplines. The exhibition launches with a collaboration featuring renowned Japanese new media artist Daito Manabe, recognised for his influential work with Rhizomatiks and closing ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The programme further presents cross-disciplinary collaborations that bridge diverse artistic traditions. Experimental vocalist Sainkho Namtchylak, known for her mesmerising Tuvan throat singing, Chinese calligrapher Xu Jing, renowned for pioneering the "Wine Calligraphy" technique, and Cantonese opera performer Leung Fei-tung, recognised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council for her exceptional contributions to the art form.
Three Immersive ArtTech Experiences Presented at FutureScope
FutureScope will house three immersive multi-disciplinary experiences from December 2025 to April 2026, titled Perpetual Records, Resonance Aura and Waving Script.
Open daily* with extended weekend hours, FutureScope aims to make media art accessible to all audiences. FutureScope offers free exhibition access alongside ticketed live performances, creating a diverse array of experiences for visitors. Special screening sessions and interactive workshops will further enhance the event, inviting participants to engage deeply with the art on display. By delivering a signature immersive art experience, FutureScope reinforces Hong Kong’s status as a vibrant international art hub, connecting locals and visitors with game-changing art that resonates on a global scale.
