KTSP Unveils New Transport Guide to Enhance Football Fans’ Experience for the Hong Kong vs. India Match at the “Hong Kong Home Venue” on 10 June

Date8 Jun 2025

(8 June 2025, Hong Kong) The Hong Kong, China Representative Team (HKRT) will compete against the India Team in the “AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Qualifiers Final Round” at Kai Tak Stadium (the Stadium) of Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) at 8 pm on Tuesday, 10 June. The football match is not only crucial for HKRT but also marks their first International “A” Football Match held at the “Hong Kong Home Venue” since its opening.

John Sharky, CEO of Kai Tak Sports Park, stated, “With great anticipation, we are ready to welcome football fans to Kai Tak Stadium to cheer for the Hong Kong Team. The Stadium enhances the spectator experience, providing a stage where elite athletes can showcase their strengths and allowing fans to witness their determination firsthand. It is also a place where passion for football thrives, inspiring the next generation to embrace the sport.”

The football match will begin with security checks at 5:30 pm, with gates opening at 6 pm. To ensure smooth entry, fans are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and allow sufficient time for ticket verification and security checks (please refer to Annex 1). Early arrivals can enjoy delicious offerings at Kai Tak Mall, choose their favourite items at the official merchandise sales points available within the precinct, or take photos with the “limited-time” giant inflatable HKRT jersey at the Central Square.

Please pay attention to the weather on the day and dress comfortably. Spectators are required to comply with the venue regulations and take note of all restricted items. Due to security requirements, the arrangements for this football match differ from previous concerts. Water bottles or containers of any capacity, whether with or without a lid, are strictly prohibited inside the Stadium.

Opt for Public Transportation to Champion Green Travel
Special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented to facilitate spectators’ travel to and from the Sports Park on the event day. As the traffic in the vicinity of KTSP is expected to be heavier than usual, spectators are advised to use public transportation and avoid driving to the Stadium. Visitors can take advantage of the convenient MTR network, as well as multiple bus and public light bus routes that pass through Prince Edward Road East, Ma Tau Kok Road and Shing Kai Road, connecting the Sports Park to various districts across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories. During the dispersal period, the MTR will enhance the service frequency of trains on Tuen Ma Line. Additionally, 10 special bus routes will be available at the Sung Wong Toi Road Pick-up/Drop-off (PUDO) Area, connecting to various districts on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.

New Taxi Departure Guide after the Match
After reviewing the public transport arrangements at the Sung Wong Toi Road PUDO Area, KTSP and the relevant government departments have decided to open the taxi PUDO Area (Ground floor outside Gate H of the Stadium) for taxi pick-up during egress. The existing taxi drop-off arrangements will remain unchanged. Spectators arriving by taxi can drop-off at Kai Tak Stadium, Kai Tak Arena, or Sung Wong Toi Road PUDO Area. After the match, there will be no taxi pick-up service on Sung Wong Toi Road PUDO Area. Spectators can take the escalator outside Gate H of the Stadium to reach the taxi PUDO Area on the ground floor.

Let’s meet at the “Hong Kong Home Venue” and cheer for our team together!
