Kai Tak Sports Park Holds the First Flag-raising Ceremony To Celebrate the 76th National Day

 (26 September 2025, Hong Kong) To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) will host a Flag-raising Ceremony on 1 October 2025, Wednesday. The event will also feature interactive booths showcasing Chinese culture and a national security education exhibition, inviting the community to celebrate this special day together.

The Flag-raising Ceremony will be held at the garden south of the Kai Tak Stadium at 10:45 am. The national flag will be raised by the Hong Kong Army Cadets Flag Guard, accompanied by the national anthem sung by students from Po Leung Kuk Lam Man Chan English Primary School. As the first National Day celebration since the grand opening of KTSP, this event marks a significant moment to bring the community together and promote patriotism. A public viewing area will be set up at the Dining Cove, inviting citizens to join and witness this historic occasion. Following the ceremony, KTSP will host interactive booths at Central Square, featuring nostalgic local snacks, traditional cultural experiences, and environmental education games. Free admission for the public, with complimentary ice cream and beverages distribute on-site, connecting the community to celebrate the National Day with KTSP.

Exciting activity experiences and interactive booths include:

• Nostalgic Local Snacks: Enjoy traditional treats such as Dragon’s Beard candy, Ding Ding candy, and candy and coconut wrap.
• Traditional Arts and Crafts: Experience hands-on cultural workshops including sugar painting, paper cutting, calligraphy, Chinese knotting, grasshopper weaving, flour doll making, and DIY fragrant sachets.
• Green Living Booth: Explore the latest environmental information, engage in mini-games, and rPET products display.

In addition, the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association will organise a national security education exhibition, further enhancing awareness of national security among youths and the public.
